FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

We want your shed-buying experience to be smooth and stress-free. Below are answers to the most common questions our customers ask.

1. How long does delivery take?

Most sheds and garages ship within 7–14 business days after order processing. Larger items may take longer depending on the manufacturer’s schedule and freight carrier availability.

2. How will my shed be delivered?

  • Small items may ship by UPS or FedEx.

  • Larger sheds and garages are delivered by freight truck.

  • The driver provides curbside delivery. You are responsible for moving the product to its final location.

3. Do I need to be present for delivery?

Yes. For freight shipments, the carrier will call to schedule a delivery window. Someone must be available to inspect and sign for the delivery.

4. What should I do if my order arrives damaged?

  • Inspect all deliveries carefully.

  • If you see damage, note it on the delivery receipt before signing.

  • Contact us within 48 hours at 888-612-2069 or doug@outdoorshedsforsale.com so we can arrange a replacement or refund.

5. Do your sheds come with a warranty?

Yes. Most sheds include a manufacturer’s warranty covering defects in materials or workmanship. Warranty details vary by product and are listed on each product page.

6. Can I return my shed if I change my mind?

Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery if the shed is unused, in its original packaging, and not a custom or special-order item. Customers are responsible for return shipping and may be subject to a restocking fee (see our Return Policy).

7. Do I need a building permit?

Local building codes vary. We recommend checking with your city or county building department before purchasing to confirm if a permit is required for your shed or garage.

8. Can I assemble the shed myself?

Yes. All sheds are shipped as DIY kits with detailed instructions. Most customers assemble their shed with the help of a friend in a weekend. Some larger models may require professional installation.

9. What tools are required for assembly?

Typical household tools such as a hammer, drill, screwdriver, ladder, and level are usually sufficient. Each shed includes a full list of required tools in the instruction manual.

10. Do you offer installation services?

We do not provide installation directly, but many customers hire local contractors or handymen to assist with assembly if needed.

11. Do you ship outside the continental U.S.?

Currently, we ship to the 48 contiguous states only. Orders to Alaska, Hawaii, or international locations are not available at this time.
